Fox Corp. Expanded its extension in the growing podcast market on Monday by scooping up Red Seat Ventures, the digital media company whose customers include former Fox News Magyn Kelly and Tucker Carlson.
The deal represents an investment in a field of media where personalities such as Carlson, Kelly, Piers Morgan and Shawn Ryan reach millions of subscribers through podcasts and broadcasting shows.
It will also help FOX News, which is the cable network of higher value, reach the new audience that is increasingly allocating to Podcast for information.
The financial conditions of the agreement were not disclosed.
Valerie Wirtschafter, a high data analyst in the initiative of artificial intelligence and developing technology at the Brookings Institution, told Reuters that podcasts, especially conservative podcasts, have grown in popularity in a decentralized media landscape.

The deal brings again O’Reilly, Kelly and Carlson, though red seats will work independently within Fox’s Tubi Media Group.
That group operates a free video broadcast service. However, the former Fox record will not be employed by Fox.

Red seat arrangement is not FOX’s first loss in the podcasting space. In 2021, the company won Outkick, a sports website and political comments supported on the right and podcast founded by Clay Travis.
